God damn, our world has become saturated with money-making ideas.

I’m constantly striving to find the balance between “achieving” my career goals and just doing things that make me happy. It’s maddening because every time I go on the internet, my vision is obscured by all the “internet gurus” out there trying to pry my hard-earned dollars out of my fingers.

“I’ll show you how to make boatloads of money and help you live your dream life!”

“I’ll show you my secret to success while building a side hustle.”

“Come with me, I’ll take you down the rabbit hole of entrepreneurship.”

STOOOOOOOOPPPP!!!! JUST. STOP.

I realize the internet algorithms have responded to the past couple of years searching around, trying to find ways to make money on the internet. But damn, the internet sure is saturated with lots of people that seem to have struck it rich. Sometimes it's a bit overwhelming.

It makes me wonder if entrepreneurship is about selling your soul to the internet. “Experts” tell you that you have to post X amount of times per day or per week. Stay engaged on social media. Keep hitting publish on your blog posts. Start a youtube channel. Start an email newsletter. Never miss a…
